FRONTIER OF CHANGE
A multimedia project that told the story of climate change in Alaska through soundwalks, radio pieces, live events, and more. Created in partnership with Joaqlin Estus, Frank Chythlook and other producers at KNBA in Anchorage, Alaska, and funded by the Association of Independents in Radio's Localore: Finding America Initiative. Awards include: Online Journalism Awards, First Place, Excellence in Audio Digital Storytelling (Small Newsroom) and an Alaska Press Club Award: First Place, Best Comprehensive Coverage.
An audio project to tell the story of a changing season, Winters Past featured soundwalks about ice yachting and ice harvesting, special live events, and stories of the Alaskan winter. Named a favorite podcast of the year by Radio Diaries and a staff pick by Third Coast. Funded by Invoking the Pause.
A pilot project examining the lasting legacy of treaties between Native Nations and the United States. Co-created with journalist Allison Herrera and funded by NPR's StoryLab and the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting.
